A cruise with personal touch by
A Traveler from washington dc Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Hospitality , food, and entertainment (not the jokes,he was yelling too hard) Cons: there was no open area and variety for guest to dance.Oldies, middle age missed dancing ballroom and cha cha cha, twist like in other cruises(celebrity) Over all it was a nice experience. staff was execellent very courtious and pleasant Ship Quality
Dining/Foodlot of variety of food Stateroom Qualityvery clean and very good service(Dharma) Ship Staff QualityVERY HELPFULL Entertainment & ActivitiesVery nice except did not get the chance to dance on veriety of music. Butter fly lounge was a waste should convert it to open dancing space rather than curtained and have one or two instructors to teach dancing or be a partner to people who are sitting alone and hesitate to dance. 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  A SO-SO cruise by
Marilyn R from Greenville NC Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: the meals Cons: the 2 days at sea, which I know couldn't be helped It was a beautiful ship... BUT the grandbaby went with us and the pool was not accessible. Our grandbaby is 16 months and I feel that she should not have been charged for the cruise. I feel the age should be 6 and up. Really how much food can a little one eat. I was also disappointed in the things to do while sailing... I guess I have to see if there is a cruise for the 50ish people.
But overall I did enjoy the cruise and spending time with the grandbaby. Oh ya 1 more thing. You should check the smoke alarms on the rooms cause they can go off in the middle of the night and wake a sleeping baby while napping.
This was my son's and daughter in laws first cruise an I wanted them to really enjoy it and Im not sure if they got what they expected. Ship Quality

  A GREAT first Cruise by
Bob N from Mechanicsville, VA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The Suite, the Balcony, the FOOD Cons: Grand Turk, cost of photos This was our first cruise, and it lived up to everything we have heard. The staff was WONDERFUL. Our cabin was immaculate all the time. Great job by the room steward. Service in the dinners was excellent. After the first day, we were seated at the same table and called by name. VERY NICE. The hostess service in the Casino was very good, although this is the only Casino I have ever been in that made you pay for your drinks. (They could learn from Atlantic City & Vegas) OVERALL: Excellent time. We would go back any chance we get. Ship QualityVery easy to get around. Laid out well Dining/FoodFood was GREAT. Service was GREAT. We expected Steak & Lobster at least 1 night, but that didnt happen. But we had Steak whenever we wanted, and lobster 1 night. So that was good. Stateroom QualityTHE BEST. A suite on the aft, with a 35' Balcony. It was wonderful. Time to upgrade to LCD TV and have something on for rainy days (thru a storm), but everything was very good. Ship Staff QualityExcellent Service. Our room steward did a GREAT job. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were good, but not Great. They could have a better variety of shows, and better dancers/costumes.

Freeport, Grand Bahama IslandShore excursion cancelled due to a storm. It was a decent experience, but the bad weather hampered the enjoyment.
Don't Miss: Port Lucaya Grand Turk IslandToo crowded. 2 ships in at once. No where to go and couldnt breathe with 4000 people all on shore at once. We didnt enjoy this port.
Don't Miss: NOTHING Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)We had a storm in the AM, and by the time we got on shore, not enough beach chairs for everyone. The picnic lunch was great, and the Tiki Bar was EXCELLENT.
Don't Miss: "Wish I Could Stay Here Forever" - Tiki Bar 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

  An average cruise by
A Traveler from Baltimore, Maryland Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The ship itself Cons: Food and entertainment I sailed on the Pride on July 17, 2009. I found the ship to be quite nice. The suite we had was very spacious and clean with a very nice balcony. The quality of the food and entertainment was somewhat disappointing when I compared them to other cruises I have been on . I did not like the way you had to play slots with your room key; it was a great nuisance. Definitely room for improvement in a few areas.
Would recommend if one wants to simply relax and not be concerned with some of the other aspects of the cruise. I'm unsure whether I would sail on it again. Ship QualityThe ship itself was quite nice. It was clean and easy to navigate. Dining/FoodQuality and variety of food not great. Dining time very good. Waitress was a delightful young woman. Stateroom QualityVery nice. Ship Staff QualityNot as friendly as I am used to but not totally horrible. Entertainment & ActivitiesAverage at best. The female dancers never seemed to be in sync. Singers were good. 4 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

You get what you pay for! by
A Traveler from Rockville, MD Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: That's a tough one. I did think the Cruise Director and especially the Ast. Cruise Director were good, if not diluted with regard the quality of their ship. Cons: Where should I start...let's see the service was horrible, our waiter was the worst I've ever had anywhere (on or off a cruise) and the kids club disappointing The staff of the ship excluding the Cruise Director and his staff were not knowledgable or helpfull. The food was average and inconsistent. The pools on the ship were a nightmare. They have no lifeguards so the security staff oversees them whenever they have time. The equates to not being able to jump in at one point while other times it is extrememly dangerous as preteens and teens are doing back flips in to the pool while others try to avoid getting hit by a flying body. My 7-year old son was trying to swim when an older much heavier boy dove in on top of him. The sign says no diving but since there is no one assigned to the pool the rules were a joke. The supposed slide was closed most of the time and the hours that were posted where for a different cruise. The Guest Services staff was a joke. They had no information about rental car services at ports and didn't even provide pamphlets. My son's who's last cruise experience was with Disney Cruises were extremely disappointed with the Kids Club on Carnival. They stayed for 30 minutes one day and did not want to go back. Our waiter had no personality at all. He never asked us our names in the 7-days were where sailing and he seemed to have an attitude when asked for the simplest of things.
The ship is split down the middle near the pool, so half is smoking and half is non-smoking. We had to move several times because we smelled smoke. We also couldn't sit on our deck on many occassions since the people in the cabin next to us smoked constantly whenever they were on their deck. Ship QualityAverage at best. Probably below average. Dining/FoodOverall the food was average. Our head waiter was terrible. Stateroom QualityThere was no outet in the bathroom. The balcony rooms were small and dark (most of the ship especially the halls were dark). The halls and corridors were very difficult to manuever as there were virtually no signs as to where things were. Ship Staff Quality
