Great Cruise and Great Value by
Bernd K from Fullerton , California Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: The friendliness of the crew. Cons: Shower was a little small. This was our third cruise this year, and the only disappointment was that it was a few days too short. The crew was extremely courteous, helpful, and efficient. I fell in the cafeteria one day while getting my food. Apparently a small bit of food dropped by someone got under my heal and down I went. I was not hurt, got up and went about my business. Within 5 minutes a staff member approached my table and asked me if I needed any medical attention, etc. Apparently someone on the cafeteria staff had seen this, watched to see where I was sitting, and then reported it. Just an example of a crew that takes pride in what they are doing. I have previously written about a bad experience we had with NCL, so felt obligated to write this, as this cruise was a great experience from the time we checked onboard until we left the ship. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe dining room food was great, Good variety and great quality and presentation. The cafeteria was good also. One comment on the cafeteria food that there was little variety from day to day. Stateroom QualityWe had a veranda room. It was very roomy, clean, and nicely decorated. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesPleanty of activities for all age groups. The evening entertainment in the theatre was not as flashy as some we have seen. Children's ProgramsWe had our teen age grand-daughter and a friend with us, and they had so many activities to participate in that they didn't have time to do the school homework they were supposed to complete. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

A bgrteat cruise on a beautiful ship by
Doug W. from Arlington, VA Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: The room Cons: The dining room staff Everything was great about this cruise - the ship itself, the room, (most of) the staff, the entertainment. The captain was particularly fun - good personality and accessible. The destination (Cabo San Lucas) was as advertised, but the days just at sea were the best. Highly recommended. Ship QualityThe ship was in perfect shape - extremely clean and everything easily accessible. Dining/FoodThe specialty dining rooms - staff and food - were great, but the Portofino Italian restaurant was exceptional. Our waiter (his assistant and the head waiter) in the Main Dining Room were a major disappointment. The waiter always tried to talk to as many tables as possible at once - no sense of individual attention. Had to ask several times for bread and water. Plus, the waiter would squeeze the salad dressing from a packet right at the table - very tacky. "My Dining" plan was not good because this inept staff was tipped in advance - maybe that's why they didn't seem to care so much. Stateroom QualityAbsolutely perfect in every way- especially the balcony Ship Staff QualityExcept for the Main Dining Room staff and the hostess in the Seaview cafe, everyone was quite nice, friendly and accommodating - especially the stateroom attendant. Entertainment & ActivitiesGood variety of entertainment with high production values. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

Why didn't I start cruising years ago? by
Janice G. from Longmont, CO. Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: A stress free vacation Cons: ummmmmm, can't Think of one. The ship is well maintained, the crew professional and friendly. Signs and directional markers in easy view. A publication was placed in our room by the attendant every day so we knew what was happining on board at all times. The food was well made, the fruit fresh, and the belly full. ;-) Ship QualityI was happy to see the ship is wheelchair accessible, we had several guests on board who put them to good use, cruising! Dining/FoodThe staff was on their toes! Prompt, responsive, and friendly. We had a great crew! Stateroom QualityI will go bigger next cruise if I can afford it, but everything in the stateroom was in good shape/working order. The balcony was the smartest option I went with. Loved having one and will never sail without one if I can help it. Ship Staff QualityA great crew. I wish I had the money to tip them better than I did. Truth. Entertainment & Activities

Feelings from the King & Queen by
Elaine A from Pueblo, Colorado Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: we were treated like royalty Cons: the cruise was not long enough We felt as though we were a King & Queen for 5 days. From the woderful staff
that is from all different countries & walks of life they treat you like gold, and have such grace with everything they do for you. During those 5 days you are made to feel so special and you bond with all of the staff. Even the ship captain every time he spoke over the intercom he made everything so
appealing and funny. We can say from the food to the room, this was the most relaxing and fun vacation we have ever had. the ship was magnificiant. We will be planning more trips with friends and family. It was like heaven. A TERRIFIC Cruise!!! by
Cindi P from SF Bay Area, California Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: everything - it was perfect Cons: the excursion we booked thru the website, the vendor made us wait for 60 minutes because one couple didn't show up - didn't get to go the glass blowing factory and I really wanted to. The ship was excellent - just the right size. We went ont he Liberty of the Seas in May and it was a big one - now they are getting bigger. This ship had the perfect compliments of size and personality to truly enjoy it all! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodGRRRREAT Food - haven't had bad food on a cruise, but this was above and beyond - excellent service in the dinning room too - the best. Stateroom QualityWe hoped to get bumped up because we are Plantium members but we we on deck three - but a good room non the less. Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activitiesdidn't care for the juggler, but the Radiance of the Seas singers and dancers were excellent! 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Amazing Cruise! by
Tim and Karyn from Arizona Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Everything! Cons: Nothing! Beautiful ship. Perfect size. Endless activities. So much fun! Ship QualityVery clean. No complaints! Dining/FoodExcellent food both in the buffet and in the dining room. Our waiter, Richardo, was the best! Stateroom QualityThe room was very comfortable. Our attendant was very attentive. He would clean our room each morning and turn down our beds at night leaving behind an animal towel creation (elephant, dog, monkey and stingray) each night. He was incredibly helpful in every way. Ship Staff QualityThe staff went the extra mile in every way to make sure that we were comfortable and that our stay was enjoyable at all times. We couldn't have asked for better! Entertainment & ActivitiesSo much to do. There was some sort of performance every night by comedians or musicians, dancers, actors, even a juggler! We loved every one of them! 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  A real treat! by
Suzanne B. from Salem, OR Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The service Cons: Some of the other passengers My husband and I had previously been on a Royal Caribbean ship and had not been terribly impressed but we decided to try it once more. I'm glad we did. Radiance of the Seas was such a wonderful ship! I would definitely go again if I got the opportunity. Ship QualityThe ship was kept in "ship-shape" order (pun intended). It was clean and tidy. Dining/FoodThe food was absolutely amazing, especially in the Dining Room and Portofino and Chops Grill. Definitely try the Oso Buco! Stateroom QualityThis was our first experience in an interior room. We were expecting a cracker jack box for a room but it turned out to be rather spacious. The decor and bathroom were much the same as other ships. Ship Staff QualityThe crew were very personable and ready to help. We especially enjoyed our Waiters in the Dining Room, the staff in the Sea View, Portofino, Chops Grill, and the entertainment staff. We had a slight problem with our tv when we arrived. We called the front desk and someone arrived to fix it within 5 minutes (about the amount of time to gather their equipment and walk to our door). This was amazing since we've had to wait almost 2 days on previous ships. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe schedule kept you busy enough (especially in the evenings) with still allowing you time to rest. The Entertainment Staff was phenominal! We enjoyed the musical entertainment the most. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  AMAZING couples getaway cruise! by
Courtney and Geoff G from Columbus, OH Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Excellent Service Cons: TV's weren't working correctly We can't stop talking about the amazing time we had on this cruise! From the prestine interior and exterior of the boat to the incredible, first-class service we received. The staff were there for absolutely anything we needed and always with a smile. The food was incredible - including the Seattle's Best Coffee Bar in the atrium. We did not partake in the specialty restaurants but the food in the main dining room was so amazing it did not feel like we missed out at all. We also took advantage of room service for breakfast - always delivered on time and exactly how we wanted it. The most amazing part for us though was the staff - one of our bags did not make it to the San Diego Airport and the Radiance staff went above and beyond to help us find the bag and they went to pick it up at the Cabo airport (our first port of call). They also helped my husband out with a Tuxedo for the formal dinner and gave us T-shirts and little toiletries bags to help. They kept us up do date on the status of our bag the entire time and it helped ease some of the stress.
The length of this cruise is great for a quick getaway and the activities on board kept us entertained. We enjoyed the Martini Making Class and the Dancing Under the Stars Party. The evening entertainment was AWESOME and we recommend checking out the Quest - adult scavenger hunt - hilarious! The drinks were also great and reasonably priced!
We could not have asked for a better experience on a cruise. My husband and I have both cruised several times and we agree that this tops them all. Ship QualityBeautiful Boat. Spotless Dining/FoodOur waiters were top notch and the menu had great variety (but there was steak on there every night if you wanted it) Stateroom QualityWe had an interior state room - it was immaculate but the shower is soooo small! Ship Staff QualityOne of the friendliest ship staff/crew we have ever cruised with!! Awesome!! Entertainment & ActivitiesThe comedians were hilarious and the music talent - Mosaic - was incredible! 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
