The Best Cruise Ever by
Sylvia Gregorchik from Fairhope, Al Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The Staff Cons: Absolutely Nothing Ship was the best. Do not miss the ice show. It was fantastic. The staff on board was absolutely the best I have ever had. They were so friendly and courteous and would do anything for you. The Cruise Director, Casey, was really enjoyable and made the cruise so much fun. Loved all the ports, we went to five ports on this cruise. Fabulous experience. A disappointing cruise by
Fred C. from Orlando, FL Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Dive trips on the islands Cons: Our area of the ship had/has a sewege leak. No other rooms available, living in that stench. I'm sure it is the reason I got sick half way through the cruise. We sailed on Adventure of the Seas a few years ago, so I can say it has aged poorly. Maintenance is not being done, it is dirty. Jammin' in the Caribbean!! by
Valerie E. from Orange County, California Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: Bands at the pool, Portifino's restaurant and the Service Cons: leaving the ship when the cruise is over The Adventure of the Seas is a great ship to cruise. It is big enough to have plenty to do. This was our 2nd time cruising the southern islands on the Adventure and loved it again. The staff on this ship is always upbeat, friendly, and willing to help. The balcony room is wonderful to enjoy the week on vacation. We love hearing the bands at the pool!! The food at the buffet, dining room, coffee area in shopping area, and Portifino's was always very good. Ship QualityThis was our 2nd time on the Adventure of the Seas--we loved it all over again! We love the shopping mall area and everything else. Dining/FoodDining room--food was very good; lots of choices to pick from the menu. Johnny Rockets burgers were the best and lots of fun there. Portifino's was truly the best food on the ship; worth every penny! Stateroom QualityWe had the superior balcony room with enough room for the both of us. The shower was big in size compared to other ships we have been on. Ship Staff QualityThe ship staff was always helpful to us including our dining room waiters were exceptional, room attendant was always smiling and took our suggestions on time, ex. icing our wine bottle, the room was always clean. The buffet waiter got us plain mustard from the kitchen area. The bars staff was friendly too. The staff on this ship rocks for Royal Caribbean and should be commended for their service! Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were entertaining," The Drifters" were a surprise and were very good, the parade and dancing at the pool had high energy from the staff, the Quest show is always great fun. The band in the lobby during formal nights were good and nice to have the music makes formal night special. 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.

The Portofino restaurant was truly exceptional. Stateroom QualityWe loved our deluxe stateroom balcony. Ship Staff QualityStaff was terrific....always helpful, friendly and willing to accommodate. Entertainment & ActivitiesLoved the shows and the comedians. The game Quest, for adults only was hosted by the Cruise Director was alot of fun. 0 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  Most boring cruise by
LISA M from Raleigh, NC Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The coffee was good Cons: There was nothing to dol There was nothing to do onboard the ship if it was raining, which it did 5 out of the 7 days we were on board. I know they can't control the weather, but you can PLAN FOR those days when foul weather hits. This ship did nothing special on the days when we were in port and were rained out of excursions or other shore activities. They had no "back-up" plan for when it rained all day and you couldn't get outside. The shops and casion didn't open until 5:30ish, and the shows didn't start until 7:00ish. Most of the games in the arcarde were broken or didn't work properly.
There was nothing to do on the ship when it was raining during the day. Ship QualityBeautiful ship, loved the design and layout Dining/FoodFood quality was good, although the variety was lacking to me. Stateroom QualityWe had a junior suite w/balcony. Will never get anything smaller. This room was GREAT!!!! Ship Staff Quality

Victor G from Caguas, Puerto Rico Sailing date: May 2009Pros: Customer Service , Dinning and Entertainment Cons: Too much good Service !! Overall the ship services and conditions were excellent. Customer service was very good. Ship QualityRoom and cleanliness was among the highest priority. Dining/FoodFood quality improved by the day. I have to admit that each day the food improved a notch consistently. We were traveling with kids and the waiter accomodated specialty foods as we pleased. Excuses were never an option!! Stateroom QualityOverall room condition was incredible! Ship Staff QualityNo complaints! Entertainment & ActivitiesThe best !! Children's Programs

My Latest Excursion on Royal by
Louise S. from Brooklyn, NY Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: Service I have travelled with Royal Carribean for years. I am always very inmpressed with the service and the friendliness of the staff. This is my 2nd or 3rd trip on Adventure of the seas. I was a little disappointed this trip. Some of the interior of the ship could use a touch up. The carpets in the walkways my deck (6) were stained. Also the bathroom in my cabin didn't look clean beacuse the tiles are rusitng and fading. Also, Royal has instituted some charges, (room service and cover charges) that have not been there in the past. All that said, I am still a Royal fan. I just hope they keep the standard of the ship at what I've grown to expect. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe food is stil good but, now they seem to serve smaller portions. That is a good move. My only complaint were the lunches. There was a lack of variety which is very different from my past trips Stateroom QualityI had a handicap accessible room which was bigger than most but, it wasn't as clean. In fact, two days after we left port we found used underwear under the bed from the passengers before us. As I mentioned before the bathroom could have been cleaner Ship Staff Quality

  Great Service by
Blake J. from Little Rock, AR Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: Service, Boat Cons: Not much The service on board was absolutely amazing! Food was great, especially portofinos. For the money, a cruise is the best bang for your buck. We went on our honeymoon and everything was awesome. There are a lot of people on the ship, but most of the time you have no idea. There were a couple times it was a little crowded, but its a cruise, and that's one of the reasons you get so much for so little. Ship QualityEverything is over the top. Very nice, and very clean. Dining/FoodI would definately advise to eat dinnner at least once at portofinos. Stateroom QualityYou know, I've seen people complain about the rooms being small and everything, but they were just fine for my wife and I. They would clean our rooms twice a day. Absolutely amazing service. It had a nice big bed, tv, couch, and bathroom. How much are you actually in your room anyways. Your on a vacation! Ship Staff QualityEverybody was so nice, and made it there job to make sure we were having a good time! Entertainment & ActivitiesIt seemed like there was something new everyday. We would normally just go to the piano bar or jesters or something along that route, but when we did go, we really enjoyed the night shows.

Oranjestad, ArubaAruba was nice, but was probably the least desireable out of curacau, st. maarten, and st. thomas.
Charlotte Amalie, St. ThomasBeaches are great, and shopping district is really cool!
Don't Miss: Megans Bay beach Philipsburg, St. MaartenVery cool island! We rented a car and drove around the entire island, and was a lot of fun! Shopping was good too.
Don't Miss: The airport runway...feels like you can almost reach up and touch the planes that are landing! Willemstad, CuracaoThe shopping in the port was the cheapest shopping of all the islands.
