  UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL CRUISE by
MARY S from Florida Sailing date: Jan 2010Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: HAVING TO LEAVE THE SHIP EVERYTHING BETWEEN AND INCLUDING BOARDING TO DEBARKATION WAS OVER AND ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS. This was our 26th cruise, 14 of which were on Carnival. We took 18 of our children and grand children at one time and again 15 at another time. That totals 53 cruises on Carnival that we have paid for including gratuities and spending accounts on the ship. I feel that we have received every single dollars worth sailing with Carnival. We have wonderful memories. We try to introduce our friends and family to cruising because we love it so much. Even though we are not wealthy people, Carnival Cruises give us the affordable opportunity for a wonderful vacation. This was our second time on the Liberty and we introduced my brother and sister-in-law to cruising. Thanks to the Carnival staff and the beautiful ship, they had a wonderful time. We now have many friends and family that love cruising. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

  Amazing Memories!!! by
Stacie R. from New Hampshire Sailing date: Dec 2009Pros: The service was AMAZING!! Cons: The pools were small We decided to take a "Christmas Cruise" with our three children 17, 15 and 12. The Carnival Fantasy was AMAZING!! The service/waitstaff were so friendly. They even memorized our childrens names the first night. Our youngest is a picky eater, our waiter made her happy, supplying her with french fries and macaroni and cheese every night=) The shows in the Venetician Palace could be compared to a Broadway show! The ship was run like a swiss clock sort of speak, everyone had a job to do and they did it.!! Our room was beautiful. The ship itself was clean, the staff was friendly. We were not sure what it would be like being away from home on Christmas, the entire crew made you feel like you were with family. I would recommend Carnival Fantasy Cruise for everyone! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe waitstaff was the best I have ever seen. They were so friendly! Warm chocolate melting cake will forever be a favorite of our family=) Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Qualityabove and beyond! Most of the staff is on the ship 10 hours a day for 10 months at a time. I am not sure about you, but I do not think I would be smiling and friendly like they were. AMAZING!! Entertainment & ActivitiesAgain, the shows could be compared to what one would see on Broadway! Children's ProgramsTo be honest our children found that the clubs were "lame". The few times we did walk by the teen clubs, there didn't seem to be anybody in there using the facility. Maybe if they were with friends, they would have participated. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  What A Fabulous Time!! by
Cathy S from Muir, Michigan Sailing date: Dec 2009Pros: The entertainment, the food, embarktation and debarktation process went very well. Cons: We originally had St. Maartan's as one of our ports only to have that changed with the bahamas. Beautiful! Ship QualityThe ship was beautiful, very well kept. You could see people cleaning and/or maintaining something every day. Staff was very polite, which I found amazing with the long hours that they work, you simply feel as though they really care that you have a great time. Dining/FoodI was very pleased with the food, and of course who could complain about the ice cream cones...lol. Harry's steakhouse was perfect, best steaks we have ever eaten. Stateroom QualityWe had a balcony room, that was very nice, after having a balcony room, it might be hard to ever have anyhthing less. Ship Staff QualityFor example one day our sink was running very slow, I told the cabin steward and by that afternoon, it was running normal. Entertainment & ActivitiesLoved, loved, loved the entertainment. With one exception, the karoke contest, the final show consisted of the guests doing their acts and singing, I found them to be untalented and this show to be very boring. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  Best than I expected by
Ana L from Patagonia, Argentina Sailing date: Dec 2009Pros: All. Cons: Being in a outside cabin. (Next time will be balcony.) This time was different. I did not like cruises too much. I had made some and were a little boring for me. But not this time, Carnival Liberty is like a small town, but with many things to do and (unfortunately to our weight) to eat! Entertainment was sometimes funny, sometimes spectacular and always good. The staff and personnel were very friendly. I am thinking of going again. Ship Quality

Worst cruise I have taken!! by
A Traveler from Alabama Sailing date: Dec 2009Pros: the crew Cons: everything else The ship itself was OK. It carried too many passengers for the public space and facilities it had. The Liberty was relatively clean and decor was good. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe food In the Golden Olympian was good. The food in the buffet was dull with almost no variation in the breakfast foods. A lot of Emile's food was lukewarm to cool when it should have been hot. Few choices of salads or cheeses on the buffet and the desserts were in great need of improvement. Stateroom QualityOur stateroom was below the Lido Deck and very noisy. Every time a chair was moved (day or night) there we could hear it in our room. We were not able to get a decent night's sleep or even relax because of the noise which went on for at least 21 hours a day. Finally on the 5th night (around 10:00 p.m.) Carnival moved us to another room which was quieter but had a pounding noise off and on all day and night so we stil didn't get much sleep. We could not enjoy our balcony in our first stateroom because one of our neighbors was constantly talking loudly, singing, and using profanity on hers. She also managed to slam her door a minimum of 30 times a day. Ship Staff Quality

It was a great vacation!!!! by
Sandy J from Manteno, IL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The staff!!! Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like. This was the second time that I was on the Carnival Liberty and it was great just like the first time I was on it. Including this cruise I have been on 8 cruises and only 1 was not on Carnival. I have to say that I enjoy the Carnival Line very much because the crew, food and entertainment is beyond being wonderful. Thanks again Carnival for a great vacation and I will be planning my 9th cruise with Carnival. Dining/FoodThe food was great with an abundance of variety. Stateroom QualityThis was the first time that I booked a balcony stateroom and it was great. I have always had an inside stateroom which is fine for the price but I have to admit that with having a balcony stateroom we did spend more time in our room and it was great in the morning to have breakfast out on the balcony. On my next cruise if the price is right I will absolutely book a balcony. Ship Staff QualityI feel everytime that I have been on Carnival the crew has gone above & beyond their ability to make you feel comfortable. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe entertainment and options of things to do on the ship were also great. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  East Caribean Atventure by
A Traveler from Baltimore, Maryland Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: Exploring the sites in the different ports visited Cons: Carnival Customer Service when something went wrong The ship was large and impressive with lots of varied activities for people to find something they enjoyed doing at different times of the day on the cruise.
The maintenance staff was allways doing different tasks to clean and repair the ship common areas every day on the cruise.
The dining experience was very good. the head server for the table I sat at, addressed me by name and remembered what I liked without asking me every night and made good recomendations based on what they thought I might like on the menu each night. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe dining experience was very good. the head server for the table I sat at, addressed me by name and remembered what I liked without asking me every night and made good recomendations based on what they thought I might like on the menu each night. Stateroom QualityThe cabin was maintained very well by the staff and they made sure to use my name when they saw me in or near the cabin. They took great care in doing there best to address each request for assistance. Ship Staff QualityThe one person I dealt with in customer service did all she could to assist me, even though her peers would not do half of what she did when i asked them for help. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe production shows on this cruise were better than any I have seen in the past on cruises. Lots of good singing and acting by members of the entertainment group. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Western Carribean by
Pat/James B from Florida Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: vacation time Cons: Lido Buffet was always cold Clean ship, room steward friendly and overall great, Golden dining room waiter very friendly and attentive. Lido buffet was always cold. Ship QualityClean, spacious public areas. Dining/FoodWe orginally asked for early dining. Once on ship we had been moved to late, after a few days of arguring the fact we were moved to early. So for the first few nights we had to eat on the Lido, which was not pleasant due to temp. of food. Stateroom QualityNot by choice we were put in a handicap cabin. These cabins are smaller in size the doors however are oversized for the w/c's. We had to have the beds seperated just to get in/out of the bed. Bathroom/shower was large for w/c's
but the shower seat made it very hard for someone to stand to take a shower. So I would highly recommend these cabins for w/c mobility. But a huge problem for others. The cabin stewards did an excellent job. Ship Staff QualityI had a huge unfortunate problem with one of my side dishes on Thanksgiving in the Golden Dining Room, but Christian our waiter was very professional and fast to correct the problem. The Lido dining staff was very friendly, however the buffet food was always cold. Many complaints from us as well as other passengers to the Head Supervisor on duty never corrected this problem. Entertainment & ActivitiesWhat's happen to the great Broadway type shows??? We had only 2 during our 7 night cruise. The remaining nights were "wanna be" entertainers. Has Carnival lowered their standards? The Carnival singers/dancers are there anyway, lets enjoy them, they are excellent talent going to waste. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  A relaxing Cruise by
Stacey from Simi Valley, CA Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Quality of food and port of calls The ship was fairly new and had plently of space and fun activities for all ages. This particilar cruise had 4 days at sea which got a bit boring. The crusie director was great. He was informative, funny and involved. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood was very good in the dining club but there was $30 fee. Regular dining rooms and buffet lines were just ok. Stateroom QualityWe were in a suite with a nice balcony. It was worth the extra money. Bathroom had a whirlpool tub with a seperate dressing room/makeup area. Plenty of closet and drawer space too. Ship Staff QualityThe crew on this ship definately goes above and beyond. They have won the award for the friendlest ship 35 times in a row and I understand why. Every request is taken care of with a smile. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows are great. I marked this category down a bit becuase too many similar activities overlap without repeating so you miss a lot then end up bored for large chunks of time. Children's Programs
