Nearly every demografic is represented, young, old, working class, retired, veterans, wheelchair or scooter bound are all seen enjoying fun and relaxing vacations. Ship Quality

  Beyond Expectation by
Mary H. from Boise, ID Sailing date: Nov 2009Pros: The standard was set high and then met Cons: Just plain too short This was our 4th cruise and it was the best. The overall experience exceeded our expectations. The ship and staff were just great. The most friendly staff and crew we experienced in our cruising experience. Ship QualityShe ship was so well maintained on a continuous basis we were just amazed. The layout of the ship made the getting around a real pleasure especially the great open feeling of the Grand Promenade. Dining/FoodThe food always tasted great and always more than enough. Stateroom QualityOur stateroom was larger than we expected and was so well laid out that it was instantly "home" for the week. Ship Staff QualityWOW is all I can say! The staff was so great we felt like family from the first night. Entertainment & ActivitiesWith so much to do and so many show options we were constantly challenged on what to do next. Our room was so great we even just stayed in for a few hours. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Will not cruise on this line again by
Vicki C from So. Calif. Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: state room attendant Cons: every thing was crowded, elevators hard to get I was booked in a Grand Suite, it may have been a lot of things, but grand wasn't one of them. No storage for medicines, the refredgeator only cools does not get cold. That infuriated me! Crummy beds! Ship Quality
Dining/FoodThe private dining (extra) was supberb. Stateroom Quality

  Average Cruising by
Ermie B. from Daly City, CA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Ambience Cons: Food The cruise ship is magnificent in its class. The ambience, selection of activities were great
Ship Quality
Dining/FoodTaste of all food, e.g. breakfast, lunch, dinner at main dining were mediocre. Taste is bland. Sunday's food is the same taste until Saturday. Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesTake Mr. Cameron, the comedian, out. He is a lousy performer and jokes are not in good taste and doesn't cater to everyone especially involving race. 1 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

  A disappointment by
Alice L from Oceano, Ca. Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The ship was beautiful, espescially the Promenade deck. The captain and crew were great. Our itinery was changed to avoid the bad weather. Although there was a hurricane we never collided with it and we were able to visit all the ports in different order than planned, but this way it was great. Cons: I have gone on over 20 cruises and the food on this ship was the most dissapointing. We didnt get anything in our cabin but soap. When I asked for lotion, shampoo was told you had to be an Emerald member to get these things. The ship was beautiful and the facilities were fine. The best thing was the Ice Skating show. What a wonderful presentation that was. The best thing on the ship.
Captain was first rate.
The food was a disappointment. Never hot and several things not worth eating in the dining room. The snacks in the Promenade were very good. The buffet better than the dining room. Ship Quality
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & ActivitiesVery loud!! The impressionists were good, and the Ice Skating was a ten.
Movies were really bad, and so were two of the shows. The show with the crew was pretty bad and terribly loud. I left two of the shows because they were loud and fifth rate talent, espescially the comedian. 2 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

The most relaxing vacation ever by
A Traveler from Anthem, AZ Sailing date: Aug 2009The ship was absolutely fantastic. In fact, we thought it was so great, we never got off for the whole seven days. Ship QualityThis ship has a pool area devoted to the rowdy crowd and also has an area reserved for those who want peace and quiet. We loved the fact that we could go and enjoy the rowdy fun, but also could lay by a pool and just relax and read a book. Dining/FoodWe spent an evening at both Portofino and Chops. We were lucky enough to enjoy a fabulous sunset in each. Food and service in both were outstanding and I felt it was well worth the extra cost. Also thought that the complimentary cheese plate served at the Vintages Wine Bar was a very nice touch. Stateroom QualityThe only thing that I wish the ship had was a laundry room. We had an inside cabin and had trouble getting our swim suits to dry overnight. Ship Staff Quality

  Avoid Mexico in Summer by
A Traveler from Philadelphia, PA Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: Service Cons: Geared for teens and young adults The ship was very beautiful and well-maintained. We felt the food was inferior to that which we've had on other cruises, except for the specialty restaurants, which were excellent. However, one shouldn't have to spend an additional amount of money to get good food. We are seniors and felt the facilities were geared to those younger - lots of sports activities but no specialty coffee bar, for example. Also the entertainment was geared more to the younger set. No classical music anywhere, which we had encountered on Celebrity's Constellation.and loved. Ship QualityCentral promenade too dominant and noisy. Dining/FoodSpecialty restaurant excellent Stateroom Quality

  Fabulous Mariner Mexican Cruise by
Christie S. from Los Angeles, CA Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: Ship Embarkation was very easy. Got to the port at 11:10am, gave luggage & $15 bucks to porter. Only 2 people ahead of us in line and went very quickly to check in and started up to the ship. The photo line was the longest line, about 15 mins. We were up in the Windjammer by 11:50am having lunch. Embarkation was even easier, luggage was there waiting for us even though was weren't schedule to be off the ship for 40 more minutes. Ship QualityShip was very clean, well maintained, carpets in good condition. Did have a bit of mildew in the shower but everything else was spotless. Dining/FoodChops was the best. Filet was amazing. Main Dining room was good. Some nights were better than others. Service was great in both Chops & dining room. We even saw the head waiter every night coming to check on us. Stateroom QualityWe chose the cheapest balcony. It was fine. On the Adventure last August we had a little bigger cabin but this was fine. Beds were a little hard but otherwise great. Any balcony is fine. Ship Staff QualityCabin stewart was good. Wait staff in all dining rooms were on top of everything. Entertainment & ActivitiesWe don't join many of the activities but we did the rock climbing and golf, both were good. We are relaxing pool people. We did watch the activities on the ships TV. Children's ProgramsMy 16 year old son did not participate. They did have many activities, he just didn't want to do. Every night our cabin stewart did include the activities for the next day.

Mazatlan, MexicoWe have been here before & didn't like it much so we went to El Cid for $65 (all inclusive resort) sat by pool with great water slide, had lunch and drinks.
Puerto Vallarta, MexicoWe did the Dolphin swim. Fabulous and worth the cash. The photo prices were overly expensive at $250 for 17 or more photos but they did put it on a CD. We purchased the CD, the photos are really good.
Don't Miss: Dolphin swim Cabo San Lucas, MexicoIn Cabo we personally took the glass bottom boat tour once we got in port. We really liked this. Saw El Arco and then went to the beach. Had lunch at Shrimp Factory (recommended by the ship) No running water in the bathroom, little upsetting there. Coconut shrimp was very nice.

Tony L. from Utah Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: The professional quality of every aspect of the cruise. Cons: The weather on the way home. This is absolutly a floating Five Star Hotel. my favorite one by
A Traveler from USA Sailing date: May 2009We found out about the cruise on the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas about two weeks before boarding. I can honestly say that this was my least expensive cruise ,and my favorite one. We left on Sunday, May 24th from Los Angeles, went to San Francisco, Vancover, B.C. and Seattle, Washington and were at sea for two days. All of the ports were fun, and since we have been to these places several times, we arranged our own activities. Usually we take a cruise sponsored tour, but it was easy to walk right off at all of the ports and do our own thing.
There was never a dull moment for us on the Royal Caribbean, which is an amazing ship w/many attractions for everybody young and old. On the days that we were at sea, I got up early had breakfast at the Windjammer buffet and then walked around the track to wear off all of the delicious food that we could not stay away from. Also, I went to the gym and used the steam room and would meet my husband afterwards. He enjoyed many presentations and shows such as "The Newlywed and Not So Newlywed Game". We usually had lunch in the dining room where we had the chance to meet interesting people daily. We also hung out at Seattle's Best Coffee Shop on the Promanade Deck. There was not enough time to do everything we would have liked to do such as golf, rock climbing, etc.The staff was wonderful especially those in the dining room. The food was also wonderful and we are probably losing weight now as we have to deal w/my cooking. We loved the shows especially the Ice Skating Show. The only suggestion I have for the Royal Caribbean is to have laundry facilities so that guests can do their own laundry. Everything else was "over the top" I have told all of my friends about this "last minute" cruise that was diverted from Mexico to the Northwest. 11 out of 11 people found this review helpful.
