A Decent Cruise by
A Traveler from Norfolk Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Laid Back, not hearing Bingo, Bingo Bingo over the loud speaker incessantly. Cons: Adult Beverages were pricey and weak, wheres the fun in that? This was our third cruise and first time with Carnival. Ship, food, service and adult beverages not as nice as Royal Caribbean. To be honest I think carnival is cheaper, you get what you pay for. Ship QualityI didnt like the ship layout. you couldnt walk all the way around the ship on any deck including the walking track. Dining/Fooddining room was excellent, buffet was ok. Stateroom Qualitywe stayed in room 1-201, first floor, very front of the ship on starboard side. inexpensive room with bunk beds. the room turned out to be very large with two portholes and used the couch in lieu of the bunk pull out. Much better than I expected. Ship Staff QualityA few folks were extra nice, all were polite Entertainment & ActivitiesNasseua was the best, We took a cab to the public beach in Atlantis/paridise island, rented 2 chairs and an umbrella and enjoyed the beach. The beach was awesome. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  First cruise...possibly my last by
A Traveler from Virginia Beach,VA Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: London Dining Room Cons: Too many people, nothing to do but eat, boring activities(hairy chest contest???) The crew was nice, if unhelpful at times. The ship looked tired and faded. The Lido Dining room was a chaotic place with long serving lines everywhere and blah food. The pools were tiny. Even the shops(4) had nothing good to sell.
This was my first cruise and I was bored to death. I'll stick to small ship river cruises from now on. Ship Quality

The best time I have ever had! by
Rita S from virginia beach va Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: I love fact that there was always something to do, never a dull minute. Cons: The waiting in lines for food was the only con. We just sailed on the triumph and it was the best experience yet. We had a window stateroom. This was a three day cruise and there was not enough time to do everything we wanted to do! I went last year on a three day cruise in 2008 and had a interior room. Our next trip which will be next may , we will have a balcony! I cannot say enough about how great of a time it is to sail on one of the cruise ships. The people are wonderful! You have everything you need. The crew will go out of their way to accommodate you in anyway. There is room service if you want to eat breakfast in your room! The views are awesome! The dining rooms have the best food and the best service ever! I would recommend that if you are planning a trip any where, make it a carnival cruise ship trip! You will not be disappointed at all! Ship QualityThe size of the ship is great. You need more than 3 days to see it all, so I recommend you sail for 5 to 7 days! That is my next trip! Dining/Foodoverall the quality was the food was awesome! The convenience of the dining times is a wonderful add on to have. Stateroom QualityThe stateroom was very roomy and had just enough space. Always clean. Ship Staff QualityThe staff was out of this world! They do a awesome job, and they are always smiling! Entertainment & ActivitiesEntertainment was great! There was always something going on some where. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

New England / Canada Cruise by
Dwight P from Greensboro, NC Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Entertainment & size of stateroom Cons: Transportation to & from the ship Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. The food while excellent was sometimes not as hot as it should be. Had a bad experience on a Boston tour and the shuttles to and from the ship and the airport were horrible (these were both provided by Carnival). All and all it was a good trip, I would do it again!!!! Ship Quality

  Beware of Air-Link by
Henry J. from Tennessee Sailing date: Sep 2009Pros: The crew was fantastic, always remembered our names! Cons: Air-Link was not at JFK to pick up 46 of us. After MANY calls, they got us to the ship as it was about to sail at 4:00PM.... The ship needs some routine maintenance, as MANY lights are burned out on the track lighting and also the chandelier in the Reno Lounge. Ship was very clean and crew was excellent! The filet mignon was so tough you could not chew it and the lobster tails were very tiny and chewy, must have been frozen ones. Wish we could have just once been able to get a table for two in the London or Paris dining rooms. Always being shoved into a table of 8 strangers was not fun. Ship QualityMany lights burned out in track lighting and chandelier. Dining/FoodFilet mignon was tough as was lobster tails. Stateroom QualityWe were right over the propellers and the noise and vibration kept us awake most nights. Ship Staff QualityHave never had a better crew! Entertainment & ActivitiesQuality of shows was excellent! 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

AshleyD from Rochester NY Sailing date: Apr 2009Pros: We loved the food, the dining rooms were great at night. Cons: Not a lot of pool side seating, the pool was small and over run with kids.
