Really fun cruise! by
Sandy D. from Tallahassee, FL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Good food, nice crew! Cons: Shows Carnival Fascination has been refurbished and is really a nice ship. The crew is very attentive and will take care of any requests you have. The food in the dining room and on the Lido deck was excellent. Our waitress really cared if we enjoyed our dinner (which we did!). We took in the dinner shows but they used so many extreme flashing lights that I had to leave in fear of setting off a migraine headache. So, please be aware of that. Embarkation and disembarkation ran very smoothly. Lines but nothing too bad. Overall, I would recommend this cruise/ship. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodOur waitress was fabulous! Stateroom QualityThe bed was hotel quality. Very good linens and extremely clean! Ship Staff QualityThe crew was awesome! Some of the best crew members I've ever encounted on a cruise. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe dinner shows need work. Too many flashing lights, dancers are average in their ability. The dinner show orchestra was good. The cruise band called Starlight played in the Passage to India lounge. Really good band! Don't miss this group. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

  Experienced Cruiser by
Lori M from NC Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: Variety of food and entertainment Cons: Shows are still the same as my last trip 13 mths ago, price of photos, and rude photo staff Ship is older but still nice. I was disappointed because the shows had not changed in 13 mths when I took the same ship to Cozumel and Key West. Ship Quality
Dining/FoodFood is much better in the dining room vs the self serve areas. Ship Staff QualityOur waiter and room steward were friendly. Waiter was slow. table next to us would be walking out before we ever got a dessert menu which wasted alot of time. It took us the entire 2 hrs, 6-8 pm. Entertainment & ActivitiesSame as they were 13 mths ago when I took the same ship to another location. Children's Programs

  A Fabulous Cruise! by
Lisa L from Orlando, FL Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The flexibility in activities Cons: The outlets in my cabin would not accommodate my blow dryer The ship was spotless. Even on the decks where smoking was permitted, I only caught an occasional whiff of smoke. The entertainment staff did an outstanding job keeping the children occupied. There were over 600 children on my cruise and I never would have known that if the Cruise Director had not mentioned it. Ship Quality
Dining/Food

Children's ProgramsI do not have children, but I also was not bothered by children running around the ship. The staff did an outstanding job keeping the kids occupied. 0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

  Great value, wonderful cruise by
Charlie J from Greenville, KY Sailing date: Oct 2009Pros: The entire cruise was great. It would be had to pick a favorite part. Cons: I enjoyed the entire cruise. I have no complaint or regret. The entire crew was very freindly and helpful. Everyone had a great time. Very family freindly experience. Ship QualityIt was a large ship, but very easy to find your way around. Dining/FoodEvery dish was prepared well and tasted wonderful. Stateroom QualityThe rooms exceeded my expectations. Ship Staff QualityThe crew was so freindly and the cabin stewards made animals out of towels each night and left on the bed. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows were of the quality you would expect to see in Vegas. Children's ProgramsWe did not have children with us, but we checked in on them to see what and how they were being entertained, so if we bring our grandson on the next crew we would feel comfortable leaving him. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

  A Great Cruise! by
Terry B from Charlotte, NC Sailing date: Aug 2009Pros: The shows and entertainment on the ship were excellent Cons: The pool is a little small The crew were all very nice, the shows were great, the ship was kept clean, in both the staerooms and the public areas. Everyone was very nice and had no trouble fullfilling any requests that were made. Ship QualityThe ship was a little older, but the only draw back I could see was the pool being a little too small. They definitely need a second pool that is adults only or need to increase the size of the current pool. The pool size is the only thing making me choose good instead of excellent. Dining/FoodFor the most part, desserts were not as good as I expected, but the rest of the food was very good. However, the melting chocolate cake in the dining room was excellent! Stateroom QualityOne drawback - They did not have hair dryers in the staterooms. Ship Staff Qualityone person at our dinner table ordered dessert, but then also asked for a cheese platter to take back to their room for later and the dining staff had no problem giving her a "to go" cheese platter. Entertainment & ActivitiesAll the shows were great. The comedians were excellent, a juggler performed and her was great and the shows with the ship singers and dancers were very good as well.

Fun time at sea ! by
Grace N from Savannah, GA Sailing date: Jul 2009Pros: The relaxing atmosphere Cons: The coffee was too strong The cruise was wonderful, very relaxing. I own my own business and work 7 days a week and a cruise is the very best vacation ever. I do not have to "think" I can just "do" everything I need is offered all I have to do is "partake" of what is offered. The food is plentiful and so very good, the activities are fun, the shows are great, or you can just sit on deck and read a book or people watch. I tell everyone I talk to that a cruise is the very best vacation a person can take. Ship QualityEvery thing you need is close enough to get to quickly and easily. But you can choose to walk the stairs to help walk off all the great food you have eaten. Dining/FoodAll the food was wonderful, I especially love the formal dining each day, we need this as a society, a real sit down dinner with wonderful conversation. The new deli that was on board was the greatest, I could not get enough of the wonderful food from there, as well as the pizza, hamburgers, and international options that were offered. Stateroom QualityWell maintained, very clean and the towel animals were just the cutiest. Ship Staff QualityVery friendly and always helpful. Entertainment & Activities

Tamara N from Atlanta Ga Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: The food and the entertainment Cons: the cost of the pictures they need to reduce it so you can get more. This was my first cruise, It was a veary pleasent trip. The lines to get on are long so where comfortable shoes, but when you do get on the ship you have alot to explore. It will take a day to learn where everything is but you will enjoy the adventure, They are very prompt on arrival times and departures from all ports. The best part is the food, food & more food. It all was very good and the staff was very good. the excurstiions that are avalible are worth looking into. I can't wait to do this again. Ship QualityVery clean at all times , decor is very nice Dining/FoodEat in the dining room as muh as you can. Breakfest and dinner are great. Stateroom QualityThe beds are very comfortable and the towels are nice, The bathrooms are roomy and comfortable. Nice size rooms we got a stateroom with a picture window.pleanty of closet space and drawer space. Ship Staff QualityAll staff very freindly and personable. They come from all over the wourld. The cabin stewarts always made us the greatest aminal towels at night. You just tell them what you wanted they would make it. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows are very good and very entertaining

  Best Week Ever! by
Regina H. from Cincinnati, OH Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: The staff of the Fascination ship were so incredibly amazing. Everyone had a great attitude. The shows and food were also great. I have no complaints! Cons: I can't think of one con other than my own decision to not apply enough sunscreen! The Fascination was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. All of our needs were met (and exceeded!). It was a home away from home. Ship QualityThe layout made it easy to find our way around. And if we did get lost, the staff were eager to point us in the right direction. I thought the decor was beautiful, too. And the boat was very clean. Dining/FoodI thought the food was amazing. I liked everything I tried. And food was available at any time of the day. Stateroom QualityOur room was very comfortable. Ship Staff QualityThe staff were the nicest people I've ever met. Entertainment & ActivitiesThe shows and comedians were very entertaining.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)My husband and I really enjoyed lying on the beach and swimming in the ocean. And we also loved that chickens and roosters were roaming around - it was so fun to watch them!
Don't Miss: Swimming in the ocean! Nassau, BahamasWe did enjoy Nassau, but it was more "touristy" than Half Moon Cay. We preferred Half Moon Cay. However, we took a tour of Nassau on a taxi, and the tour guide (Eustace Duncanson) was very informative.

Awesome Vacation on the Water! by
Sharon & David from Houma, LA Sailing date: Jun 2009Pros: Fresh Air and Sun!! Weather could not have been better! Cons: Flies were all around raw meat waiting to be cooked at grill This was our 1st cruise and surely not our last! The ship was awesome and much bigger than imagined! There were activities for ALL ages which is a great thing for families or you can choose to do absolutley "nothing", just enjoy the fresh air and sunshine! Tons of storage space and our oceanview stateroom was plenty big enough.. Loved, loved, loved the animal towel creations our stateroom steward placed on our bed every night!! Beds were a bit soft though, for us old people who tend to prefer a more firm mattress... but we made it through with a massage or two!! The staff were very friendly and eager to assist us. Dining room dinner was exceptional - especially the desserts (warm melting chocolate cake - OMG!!!). They say the average person gains 2 lbs a day!!! We did visit the gym the 1st day, but ate pretty sensible and only gained 3-4 lbs instead of the dreaded 12 lbs!! I could go on and on and on.... It was FABULOUS!! I am confident we will cruse again! Bon Voyage!! Ship Quality

Key West, FloridaBeautiful city! Lots of shopping to do in Key West or just "window" shop!
Nassau, BahamasNot at all what I expected... Atlantis was beautiful but walking through the town was smelly...reminded me of Bourbon Street after Mardi Gras...
