Pros:
Food
Cons:
Some Decks do not go bow to stern. You have to go up or down to go through. No hair dryers.
We have cruised with Carnival before and have had a bad experiences with other guests on board. We are very happy we gave them another try. We booked an inside cabin and were upgraded to an outside. We were able to check out the inside cabin we would have had, it was almost identical except for the window. Very nice cabin, plenty of storage space. Drawback was not having a hair dryer, if I had known I would have brought mine from home. The water slides were great fun for children and adults wanting to be kids again. The food was fabulous great selection, taste, presentation overall excellent. The wait staff in all areas were excellent! We will go again!!

Ship Quality
Refurbished very nicely, rooms had plenty of space, storage and roomy shower which was great! Ship was very clean, staff was always working on areas that had the most use. One drawback the windows were dirty, a plus for the inside cabins.
Dining/Food
We had the early seating which works into our schedule best. The variety of choices was very nice. Presentation was very nice and taste was great. I'm surprised because I only gained 1 pound and I ate lots of sweet rolls and bread. We had great people on either side of our table and had fun trading conversation with everyone
Stateroom Quality
Size of the room was very adequate. Plenty of storage and safe. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. NO HAIR DRYER WAS A PROBLEM.
Ship Staff Quality
Very friendly and helpful staff. Sheryl (Bar Server) and Okta (Waitress) in Dining Room were both fabulous.
Entertainment & Activities
Loved the water slides!

Dissapointing
by annette d from florida
Sailing date:

Pros:
getting off the ship
Cons:
the serenity deck
Sensation i have been on before so i expected the same quality as the last experience however they fell very short. The new serenity deck is in the most un-private part of the ship--the 24hr pizza shop is over looking it -i guess when they have down time they can invade privacy--along with how can you call it "serenity" when the water slide and kids play is right above it very poor location it is the loudest spot and most traveled of the cruise ship they should have kept it up-top it was at least private and the kids couldnt look down on the adults--as for the old day of the "formal night" and "cocktail hour i was insulted as a return cruiser never ever got a thing from returning and the cocktail hour was $1.00 off drinks how tacky--if they could do that it wouldnt hurt them to not charge 7-10 a drinkthe tip should not be included after that price that is very insulting--$25.00 for two special fun ship drinks insane----as on the last cruise the cruise director always anounced the cocktail hour and such--they decided to give a free drink for the guests on the last day of the cruise between rediculous hours and no announcement of such other than a one liner in the caper which was very unclear--i think the guests were insulted by the dollor off from the formal night they mostly didnt even show up----and a few that did were in shorts and bathing suits?????Carnivasl as really upped there prices on drinks which ups there gratuities for the bar and the service is very lax---they should leave it to the disgression of the guests if they "choose to tip on very drink or not" considering the prices are insane---as for the food lay out that was very poor the same thing day in and day out i remember my first cruise and it has steadly declined--------unfortunately i have another cruise already booked for halloween next year and i truely hope they make vast improvements-----as for the jacuzzis there were so many kids in them snorkling you couldnt even hold an adult conversation kids do not belong int the jacuzzis unless 16 or above----adults should not feel they have to be segrated to the serenity deck to even use the jacuazzi -----the placement is as if your a lepar they really need to rethink the layout==if your gonna give adults a "retreat" it should not be placed in a fishbowl setting were people eating and cooking and kids look over at the adult deck i would give this cruise a two out of a ten and go on royal carribean where the drinks are cheaper the service is better and the cruise director is a blast--------

by Linda K from Chunchula,Al
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
everything on the ship
Cons:
our sea to see tour
We took the trip with our family and was very happy that the ship something to offer all ages. We were very happy with the food and services and the shows. The only thing I was not happy with was the "Sea to See Tour" we took. When we talk to the Customer Service about it I felt that we were just brushed off about it. We will be taking other cruise with our family again.

Best Cruise Ever
by Kimberly F from Peru, IN
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
A great way to catch up with old friends and have fun!
Cons:
Was not prepared for how crowded it would seem on the ship the day that we were at sea. Seemed like there was not a place to get away!!
Excellent service, terrific food and a great embarkation/disembarkation process. Very smooth and organized! This was my 1st cruise and I traveled with 3 women with whom I graduated High School. We had not spent much time together in over 25 years. This was a great way to catch up and be catered to. Two of us had never cruised before and did not know what to expect. Carnival set the bar high for futurre cruises.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Very good lay out. We like the walking track. But felt the ship was a little confusing to navigrate from one end to the other. Maybe some more signage would be a good solution! The ship was always clean and the crew was more than helpful and courteous. That last day when all of us were on board and the same time seemed very crowded. I would have loved to have hung out at an adults only pool!
Dining/Food
Excellent! I was more than surprised at the qualitiy of the food and the service. Okta and Chusak were so sweet to us and worked hard to make sure our dining experience was fabulous.
Stateroom Quality
I had heard how small staterooms can be. I was pleasantly surprised at how much space we had. Very good accommodations!!
Ship Staff Quality
Fantastic!!
Entertainment & Activities
Pretty good! May have needed just a few more night time adult activities. We loved the music tribute to the 80s show!!! And the comedian was very funny! The 3 of us that cruised togerher really enjoyed the chance to make some new memories to add to our old one!

"Relaxing trip"
by Kathy C. from Lilburn, GA
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
Adult Serenity Deck
We sailed on Sensation back in 2001. The ship has been refurbished recently and we enjoyed the improvements. Very clean. New carpet throughout, staterooms have flat screen TVs, nice bedding, small bathrooms but sufficient. Kept very clean by excellent room steward. Loved the adult only Serenity Deck on back of ship. This was our 14th cruise. The ship isn't as big and bright as some of the newer ones, but kept up very well. The food was OK. We've had better, but then again we have had worst. Sailed out of Port Canaveral. Easy to get in and out of. We were on the ship in no time at all. Terminal is staffed by very friendly people. Overall, we had a very relaxing time. Although it was mid-October, there were still quite a few children on board- but they all appeared to be well behaved. Great ship for families and groups traveling together.

Great Time!
by A Traveler from North Carolina
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
The food and camps for thekids.
Cons:
The pools are just too small on cruise ships.
The ship was great, no issues at all, wish the pool was bigger but that goes for all cruise ships. We liked this cruise also because we only had one day at sea, the last day which is perfect to relax before returning home.
Ship Details:
Ship Quality
Very clean with attention to details.
Dining/Food
The assortment of hot bars and buffets was wonderful, never having to stand in line for long, the food in the dining rooms were good but many of the side dishes were repeated from meal to meal and not that appetizing.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality
The cabin staff as well as the waiters did a wonderful job.
Entertainment & Activities
The kids loved it and that is why we went.
Children's Programs
Kids had a great time and were well taken care of.

great cruise
by A Traveler from chicago, il
Sailing date:
Oct 2009
Pros:
food
Cons:
not everything is consistant on one level
the ship was big, alot of places to go and they tried to have a lot to do. the entertainment was ok, the comic was funny. my one complaint was i was in need of bandaides and my stateroom steward told me to call room service, room service put me on hold for ten minutes 3 times instead of just telling me i had to go down to the ship's medical area.
